August 7 - birthday of Vladimir Zarubin, a Soviet postcard artist. He had a very distinct style and his postcards were made in millions in the 70s and 80s (5-6 million per card was common). Here are some of my favourite of his postcards. ❤
Paper wrappers for gingerbreads and jellies from Gorky [Nizhny Novgorod] Red October factory (1950s-1960s)
A. Ivashentseva, illustrations for Kostyor magazine (July 1989)
Vintage Russian Easter greeting card, artist E. Kurtenko (1991)
