Akihiko's back is a bunch of sakura which represents his love. He took one to Haruki to show his love. Haruki's back is a blank with some petals(?) to show his heart shaking and shyness. He never shows his love directly. In this pic, his face could be red. And he's so happy.

Another photography technic is that what behind character's back is just what the character's feeling. So the blank of a pic is a very important element when designing the composition. These two composition shows two different meanings. +
