I have my family I made with @lattetypography to thank for the direction I’ve taken. It’s been a long road & will continue to be but I’ve rebuilt some confidence & sold thousands in pieces and prints over the years & I am grateful for the encouragement they all give me.
During our last decade together, I’ve left waitressing & returned to my education. I took up a more stable position as a barista, returned to college and started to experiment with my style as I started drawing more frequently.
When I was young I was on a direct course where all I had wanted to do was to get into a reputable art school. I did the work. I put in hours. I took advanced & honors classes only to knock out the course load to direct my last years to primarily focus on art. I was driven.

My daughter was really patient with me today as I tried to get some of my groove back in drawing. This is nowhere near finished but we’ve finally taken some dramatic steps forward from where I left it in December. #artistsontwitter
Taking a swing at inktober day 1. It was for fish. I tried out some creatures from the black lagoon. 🐠
