I've been playing around with different techniques lately. This ones more painterly than my normal style. It's fun trying something new!
I found this sketch in an old folder from 2020 and decided to color it. #skullcat
So the original version of this page was page 6 (following what we've already seen), but my story changed a lot and this page is now page 27. It's kind of fun to make so many changes but still be able to preserve certain story moments.

I forgot to post yesterday, so you get two today!
I realized afterward that the bridge should be WAAAY higher than I originally drew, so this page had to be totally redone, and I took the opportunity to add some story onto the page too, instead of having it a full page panel.
This page was added into the story rather than being redrawn, so there's no original version this time. Instead, here's another look at my process. It took me a while to get this page right, so there's a bit more roughs this time too. #makingcomics #wip
This page obviously changed a lot. I had to scale down the Arbitrageer, but managed to fit in some of that humor.

Behind the scenes! I ended up with more of a conversation to deal with so the establishing shot of the castle got moved to a later page.
Ready for some Skull Cat behind the scenes?
Over the next week, I'll be comparing the first few pages with my original versions, before edits happened. Here's the first page.
Skull Cat and the Curious Castle releases next week!
