They really love Sunny, but I like to think that Opaline and the cizitiens' words planted way stronger seeds of fears and doubts.

Sunny is basically a Shonen protagonist🐴
No parent(s), denigrated, and then accepted because of an heroic action + new powers.

They served me angst on a silver plate, so I jumped on it and added my twist on her past.
