About six years ago, when I started digital painting, one of my first ever pieces was a knight encountering a Draconis in the woods.

With all I've learned, I'm having another go. Just the preliminary sketch for now but WOW the difference.

Had another stab at planet painting, this time though, I tried a speckled brush and getting more implied with the mountains and rivers.

In other news here's an update of the map of Alcanti's surface.
Not 100% on the mountains but maybe that can be fixed with giving actual texture to the surface.

Also thinking I need a flat map to make adding cities easier.
