It's really interesting how the art style shift that happened with Pokémon artworks happened more so with Emerald specifically than with Ruby & Sapphire. Like, I feel like RS's Wallace art is much closer to the gen 1/2 style, while Emerald's is closer to the gen 4/more modern one

I dunno why but I've been thinking so much about Gryll's design lately, it's so pleasant to look at, very simple but with a lot of fun shapes and parts to it. Lots of neat little details too, like the hair's gradient outline

Calyrex's rider forms are so funny. This is supposed to look majestic and cool, yet entirely because of Calyrex himself it ends up looking so, so silly
