In both timelines though he does wear electrical tape that functions as compression braces since he has carpal tunnel! The electrical tape helps him use his abilities without hurting himself as well as helping to provide the compression he needs

in the doomed timeline bandit loses a leg and also has a ton of electrical scars from overusing his powers
in the saved timeline he does still end up losing a leg, but he does not have the electrical scars since he doesn't have to overuse his abilities
