Just finished Castle in the Sky as my first Ghibli movie. It was a charming movie with beautiful animation and art, and an enchanting steampunk setting. But I was not a fan of the story. I could tell it was Ghibli's first movie.

I finished Mistborn: The Well of Ascension. I put it on a higher place than The Final Empire. I love the character writing, the mystery of the mists, and ESPECIALLY the subversion of the Chosen One trope via Ruin’s manipulation.

Ruin’s manipulation is unlike anything I’ve seen.
