@odelsarven We have the same tale, which i illustrated a long time ago. The only digital illustration i made. With slight variations of course. The North wind lives beyond 7 lakes and mountains, he gives him a table, instead of tablecloth, a bag and a stick. .-)

This could be the case, but there is not enough evidence to prove it. It is not impossible, and if we consider it to be the case, then the account of Pseudo - Caesarius would imply that there were some pan-tribal groupings of young warriors which have passed such an initiation.
