It’s super hard when you’re practicing in a style that isn’t your norm. I’m a perfectionist and I usually draw to the minute detail, but here im trying to be loose to go for a more artistic style and expand my techniques. #johnnydepp

New ink and watercolour commission for a client of one of their children. This was a little tricky as I had to draw it from... wait for it... a passport photo! Talk about scaling up and adding detail!

Today's progress. I decided to just keep it as a head portrait, partly because I think it looks nice and partly because I'm lazy and don't want to draw the bottom half. (I'm a sucker for portraits)

It’s not perfect but it’s an idea I had and I had to work with lots of different reference images so the lighting may not be entirely accurate. There’s a lot going on but it’s bold and I kinda like it/am proud of it.
