On saturdays I run a table top game for some of our audience in a discord server - we are playing the One Ring RPG - and one our players @LoopPrincess has been illustrating their adventure.

There is an interesting convergence between tabletop gaming and graphic novels. "Adventure Zone: The Crystal Kingdom", is Number 1 & 2 best selling Graphic Novel for "Humorous Graphic Novels" and "Fantasy Graphic Novels" respectively.

Tolkien uses the word "darkling" in a dozen beautiful passages in the Lord of the Rings.

An audience member decided during a live reading that a darkling was a creature and sketched it during our live reading.

During our Storytime the audience laughed a bit at Gollum snuffling and decided a "snuffle" was a small rodent like creature.
