The icy world is a blanket of crue, uncaring whiteness that would see your dead. The biggest threats are Calamities: erratic god-storms, the would-be-tyrant Second Founder or ancient vampiric megaowls and the armies of the dead.

You get character progression in #Praeuro through Lores. Each priest has at least one. They are the support network and can be upgraded for abilities or changing the world. Some Lores: Kiln (for everyone loves a nice pot), Hearth (keepers of the Flame) or Forge (metallurgic keen)

So, what do you do in this game? You organize Expeditions, looking for things that you can turn into Work: the encased pleasure-barge of a tyrant, a vein of tin, survivors, a source of warm water, etc. But the white world is full of dangers, so you need to use guile and skill
