oh neat she's the one on banner
also this was a really good ten roll csuse we use a bunch of these already
this is a sister series to Comic Girls. both compliment each other really well as series focusing on artists and art. but while Comic Girls is grounded, i appreciate Hidamari Sketch for its willingness to just totally fuck around and be wild
only a year prior:
Yuri on Ice was kinda how i figured out i'm queer, or rather, accepted it. well before gender stuff, i was still accepting being bi. this show has just aired so i checked it out, without much desire for queerness and it just connected with me and now here i am
this is completely serious:
Houseki no Kuni is why i am non-binary, or at least, how i know i am.
dark humor is hard to make work. too dark and its just being edgy. not dark enough and it loses its weight. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei balances things perfectly. and especially as someone who has been suicidal before, its nice to be able to laugh at literal gallows humor like this
Their Story is just good. it's good gays. the cast is wonderful and the progression of the relationship is well paced and executed. i dont have as much a personal connection here as i do the others, but i love this all the same
