I do a weekly sketch challenge with some other art nerds and this week's theme was 'Ring'.
Coincidentally, I just finished the Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. So I drew Widget and Poppet.
I'm not saying the book should be an animated feature... but I'm not not saying it.

I was digging through my old archives (I'm type A, I keep everything). I animated this in 2011-ish, in Digital pro and the .tpl still opens in Harmony 16! I'm impressed @ToonBoom

You can't get too attached to your ideas as an animator. Sometimes you pour your heart into a sneeze that bursts into a flock of snot-birds, but it just doesn't work and doesn't make the cut.
RIP snot-bird. I will never forget you.
