Damaius is among few I'd say is best captured by a pure *doom and destruction* theme.
When my players first 'encountered' him (actually the lord of another house, magically disguised as him to evoke terror), I went with "Final Reckoning" by Q-Factory. 6/

NPC Vaermina gets "A Beautiful Song" from Nier Automata. The mighty warlock is consumed by the desire to become 'perfect' – a perfect Aktaroth lord, a perfect imitation of a devil.
The song's source is a boss battle against a machine obsessed with becoming more beautiful. 3/

When Niko the tiefling Rogue hit Barbarian level 3, the ex-cultist retraced her heritage – that of the tribe that preceded the Aktaroth.
Out of game, the muticlass inspired me to flesh out more of the Aktaroth's history/origins and earlier traditions.

DM @CritCatastrophe surprised me by incorporating it based on my Damaius art; back when we found it in game, I was told Niko recognized it as his from long ago.
So that's how Niko acquired her evil warlock dad's +2 longsword, and then got it silvered out of spite 😆
