C is for (dromedary) Camel.

Did you know that camels can hold grudges? It's been written that a camel that’s been injured by a person will bide his time before taking revenge with bites and kicks. I, for one, can identify with that mentality. Especially the biting part.

B is for Bison.

While collecting reference images I found one of a leaping bison, which was unexpected. Turns out they have a vertical jump of 6 feet! Who knew?

A is for Anteater.

I’m taking a crack at some animal illustrations to push my poses, use more interesting shapes and compositions, and work with limited colors.

I spiffied up an older drawing for a Medusa challenge by (find him on IG). It just so happened she was already in the perfect pose, and it was fun to go back and give the colors a little jolt.

Here's a little spot illustration for the shrunken head sculpture I posted last week, part of some branding graphics I'm putting together to go along with it.

CONTENT as a catch-all for work. I can't stand it.

Perfectly encapsulated by Dinosaur Comics: "reframing creative work as a fungible (interchangeable) asset whose sole purpose is to fill a corporate container."

Clayface timelapse. I had already figured out the sketch and shape because I tend to forget about recording these until about halfway, but you can see I futzed with the hand a couple times because it wasn’t working.

I ❤️ the Clayface design from Batman: The Animated Series. It’s iconic. A big tragic muddy monstery guy who can change shape, but struggles to control it and falls apart? So awesome.

I tend to like the kind of caveman-like, lumpy Hulk, like the original one Jack Kirby drew. When he’s a little more Mr. Hyde than Mr. Universe, he seems more monster-y to me.
