I just want to congratulate my man @VAdePEGA for winning the Retro category for the Sonic Hacking Contest.
You deserve it after all these years!

@OFFICIALJakeAlt Unfortunately yes, it's really flawed when you look outside the pretty nice sprite art. When you aren't moving as slow as a snail or having controller problems, you're dealing with bugs that at worst break entire levels.
They didn't even get Shadow's arm colour right.

Or alternatively....

Heck even if they still insist on having exe in some form, they could all out with the campy spoopy vibe by making him a weird vampire zombie and have it be the result of the ghosts using that clone beam from Sonic the Fighters.
Still resembles X but arguably not as clashing.

With @SAGExpo now under way and me playing a good chunk of the games, figured it was about time I share this piece of pixel art I did a few days before the event starts.
There's a reference in this image that I hope people will catch.

And that's all the attention I'll give to the thing.
So how about instead I recommend you give these Sonic-inspired but still completely original games your money instead?

@TMariotoast Because somehow a hedgehog cheekily smiling to lure in Eggman and potentially get out of a trap is somehow pandering to meme culture.
Face expressions can not only say a lot about a character but are also key to carrying a scene and the tone the writers are going for.

@MorsGames I like how the character the guy compares Sonic to Goku, because that's also a character that's been shown to be very expressive over the years even as the Dragon Ball franchise started to gear more towards fighting.
Almost as if expressions are an important aspect of animation
