I've only been drawing since January (the Ghastly was the first thing I attempted to doodle when I got my tablet), but I'm finally happy with my style and starting to not rely on visually tracing my references so that I can get my own poses worked in.

Finally drew MY BOI

Another Pokemon art lesson. This time I experimented with using a different brush for the outlining and making the posing a touch more dynamic.

My favorite detail about Monster Hunter Rise's art direction is easily the early Japanese cinema/Kabuki theatre aesthetic to the monster intros. Adds a fresh vibe to what amounts to "Here's the next thing you're going to beat the shit out of with a giant oversized mallet"
