This Van Eyck equestrian portrait of Charles I was used as a style to overpaint a portrait of his elder brother, Henry Frederick who died at 18.

I cannot find an image of the overpainted, but this was the original. Prince Henry is tugging time by the forelock by Peake.

Great title choice. The book is the author comparing the future present to his original novel. There is no tower in Chiddingfold, where Caliban ended up.
