people keep saying "did he really block kirin with yata or was that just the susanoo?"

what other narrative purpose would there be to give itachi a fucking invincible shield. his opp used a nuclear lightning dragon as his final attack. why else would he have it but to block this

yata mirror might be overhyped

its only feat is blocking kirin and even then, the whole entire susano'o got dispelled by it, + it vaporized itachi's cloak, + it visibly injured him

particle style, perfect susano'o slash, truth seeking orb, etc, might shatter it
