Well the genre has it's renaissance (Pronbably gained more audience than ever) but concept was present in anime for a looong time

She had her flaws but was just precious and there were characters 'in story' who noticed it.

She might also be the OG reason why I like that over-sized anime'ish glasses design so much. In fact: she might've inspired trend ~❤️
