1) Scanners & The Fury
Psychic killers, undercover agencies, and exploding heads.
In David Cronenberg's Scanners, a military contractor kidnaps a homeless man with psychic powers with the intention of training him to stop another psychic who is killing members of their agency.
@DoubleFine Prob too late but heres my favorite fact ever from my book Spiders: Worldwide Webs -
12. Cold Skin - A young man arrives at an island in the arctic to replace an older man as a weather observer and lighthouse keeper, and then things get weird. It predates and is more of a straightforward plot than The Lighthouse, but its easy to draw comparisons between the two.
9. Summer of 84 - A "kids on bikes" horror movie that's part Steven King and part Rear Window. A group of kids suspect their new neighbor might be responsible for a string of missing kids. Rich Sommer is so creepy in this, and the ending is so dang good.
2. The Empty Man - An ex-cop investigates a strange group of kids who are obsessed with summoning a supernatural entity. There are some truly great visuals in this that will definitely stick in your head.
