By the end you realize what's happening- they're becoming an immortal being like a dragon or Princess Celestia. The story you've read is them failing to remember their short life as a human- one that even experienced "presently" is already fading by the near future of eternity.

This was originally just a sketch inspired by @Foxxy_TF's wonderful Asriel TF, but then I got really into it and did more.

I love it when I can mimic elements like design or UI to push the TF beyond just the character.
