How can anyone say “Wonder Woman’s clay origin is ridiculous and makes no sense” when Aphrodite was created from sea foam, Dionysus was born off of Zeus’ thigh, Athena was made out of Zeus’ forehead, and the original Post-Crisis Amazons were reborn out of a lake in Greece?!

Plus, Greek warriors wore skirts into battle which influenced Themyscira’s Amazons who are an offshoot of Ancient Greek society.

No, Wonder Woman having a skirt or showing some skin doesn’t inherently mean she’s sexualized.

I could really see the Paradise Lost show incapsulating the conflicts that lead to different Amazon tribes forming from disagreements over philosophy and loyalty to the gods. 🤔

I can’t emphasize this enough: Clay origin! Hippolyta and the goddesses having agency over Diana’s creation is beautiful despite all the madness that occurred on Olympus amidst the Amazons’ creation. Diana being a generic bastard of Zeus is incredibly lazy. ✨

As someone who has much appreciation for the prior DCEU Wonder Woman films, the DCU Wonder Woman franchise needs a hard reset so that her lore isn’t constrained by bad creative choices.👇
