While tetrodotoxin gets its name from the order of fish, Tetraodontiformes, not every fish in the order has tetrodotoxin! Boxfish, while closely related to pufferfish, use a completely different type of toxin as a defense mechanism. (and they're so dang cute)

Diphtheria was known as the strangling angel for the horrible symptoms it caused in its victims. Richard Tennant Cooper, a British artist whose subjects were often about death and disease painted this depiction of diphtheria trying to strangle a sick child.
