I gotta say I do adore the small cameos we've done for this book, just has an eye for this sort of thing. :3

Even when dealing with non fight scenes, the energy and feeling of speed can add to a scene is a thing to behold! Can't wait to see how she handles the next big story we have planned after this! :3

As you can imagine, I don't get along particularly well with that ONE uncle we all have. :/

Personally I've always been pro politics in comics, because pretending to be apolitical is just politics of the status quo. :p

Art by the super fantastic and see you all in seven!

The current storyline actually came to me while watching an episode of almost a decade ago. Art by (whom you should commission!) and see you next Monday <3

Also wanted to throw out there Elektra: Assassin by Miller and Bill Sienkiewicz. Did the story make sense when I read it? No. Did I love the raw creative energy and the collaborative spirit of both men pushing each other to create something wholly unique? Dang right.

I actually just pitched this read to another person so I have pages on hand. Phoenix, an unparalleled masterpiece, produced over a span of decades, narratively spanning eternity and tragically unfinished due to Tezuka's passing. Experimental, epic, an incredible feat of artistry.

And then you have the weird reimagining of stuff like Batman and Transformers as manga. Truly curious cases of cross pollination that make the familiar into something new and novel. :O

If you want a book that would give comics like Watchmen a run for it's money you gotta checkout Pluto by Naoki Urasawa. It's a retelling of a classic Astro Boy story but really takes it to a whole new level.
