@BryanSchnarr Super move for me would be a flurry of pure kung fu strikes, like Liu Kang's X-Ray back in MKX, ending in a one-inch punch.

And the gimmick of it is that, if it kills, then that's it, fight ends. But if it only finishes the first bar or leaves a single pixel of health...

@BryanSchnarr I don't like those kind of grindy, random drop, loot-based mechanics. If there's unlockables, I prefer them to be as straightforward as possible.

As for gear, hmmm... maybe something like belt, weapon annnnd gloves. From bare-handed to ninja gauntlets/biker gloves.

And this is where history repeats itself a little: Gabrych introduced the Detroit retcon, which less than a year later was shelved in favor of Shiva growing up in an unnamed East Asian village of assassins.

Finally, we get to the big reveal: Ra's has murdered his new League and taken possession of the aforementioned earthquake-generating alien ball, and in one fell swoop demonstrates its power while also punishing Shiva's betrayal. But something else happens in this page.

This new BatO volume has been pretty dour from the start. Everyone feels on edge, everyone is intense and angsty 99% of the time. Just look at Jefferson and Tatsu two pages prior. It's a dark series that at times feels positively constricting.

Anyway, Batman and his Outsiders arrive at the site of a crashed alien spaceship in search of Ra's and then it happens. Because it's not just Shiva who's decided to cut the crap and tell it like it is.

Because Lady Shiva, at her best, loves the world. She loves it just as it is. Violent, chaotic, deadly, exciting, and full of interesting people. All things that Ra's wants to erase from the world by any means necessary.

Their classic goals have always been in direct opposition.
