So I picked this one up for the Singelin Cass story, which was fucking amazing as expected, but I didn't expect the rest of the stories to be quite so... poetic.
If you like your Batman to be ultra dramatic and theatrical in its writing, this issue's a real treat and a half.
Me: the idea of Lady Shiva being Cass' mom has not been used to its full storytelling potential, and more often than not has diminished Shiva's nuance in service of stale, cookie-cutter narratives.
Me when people say "Of course Cass can beat Batman, she's Lady Shiva's daughter":
So the new SHANG-CHI posters are lovely and gorgeous and all, but I also deeply appreciate how aware they seem to be of who's the star of the show here.
#Xialing front and center.
The Lady Shiva Nation wishes to extend its heartfelt congratulations to the Principality of Talia Al Ghul. Sounds like cool stuff on the way for 'em!
