Some of my favorite Clark to Superman change sequences
This story is the most obvious example of something I talked about on the Last Sons podcast when we did Unchained. Deconstruction is boring but if it’s deconstruction + rebuttal then it’s a conversation then it feels more akin to expression than trying to be clever.
So PKJ in Word Ballon revealed Ricardo Federici is going to be on Action #1039. We’ll be getting interiors that look like this! Gonna be a real treat
Brainiac/Cyborg Superman is now my favorite design for Cyborg Superman. He’s still got his original Superman but a terminator look but he’s further distinguished from Clark
The two ends of the spectrum. Golden sun god and rugged gladiator hunk https://t.co/17EpK9kBFs
I feel like it’s a common thing for people to express Superman vs magical threats is underutilized. I’ve found it’s actually a fairly common thing just sorta buried in runs, not really any of his hits. Here are my favorites.
I’ve never really been impressed with all black suit variants. I’m always more interested in alternative wacky colors, patterns, symbols. Which truthfully feels underdone in Superman’s history.
I wanna recommend a really great issue I just read. Feels like a fun regular story then half of downtown Metropolis explodes, Mxyzptlk enters and turns the comic into a Tenet style detective story. Ends up being a brilliant way to show Superman’s small acts of kindness matter.
