6. Last Days of Superman
With previous choice in mind I wanted Silver Age rep. Top choice is Superman #152. I got into collecting as a fan of 60’s pop art. Maybe not everybody else will appreciate the charm but you cant do better than Swan. Plus still has one of the best moments
🧵 A Dozen Superman stories for those who may think the character boring.
Side note: I’m very interested in the fact that modern comics always use blue for X-Ray when it was fairly regularly yellow in the previous eras
Recently read this Steven T.?Seagel/ Scott McDaniel run. (Superman #190-199) I love that it highlights Clark’s wide variety of powers. Especially thought it was cool to show a range different eye designs to go along with those powers.
I want everybody to agree with this one please. https://t.co/2vm1H1Wqfr
I really love Sunstone. Think it’s an underrated accoutrement of Superman’s world. A little remnant of krypton packed with information that keeps the culture alive. A seed that grows into something incredible
Think I’ve decided. Top 4 favorite modern era Superman artists. Sook, Reis, Derington, Shaner
“Everyone kept saying you can’t make a Superman story cause if he can do anything than what conflicts are there? Well emotional conflicts. The biggest ones. The ones we all understand.” -Grant Eisner Hall of Famer Morrison
I typically resent stories that put the man of tomorrow in the past but Superman: Space Age really does not feel nostalgia driven. It truly feels like a story that is in its time period more so because it benefits from the historical events
