Chuuya staring at Dazai searching for something human deep inside him because he was geniunely surprised to see him finally show sincere emotions,Chuuya was the first one Dazai ever revealed what he was thinking and what were his wishes as it was worth trying to live with Chuuya

The symbolic moment they called each other's name to seal the precious promise they made to fight as one and survive together,Chuuya giving his trust to Dazai and Dazai holding Chuuya's life in his hands as their plan was for Dazai to protect Chuuya in the end through the garland

These were such beautiful last words from Rimbaud,stating proudly how much the kids grew up and became strong together,full of this determination to live,and certainly Dazai and Chuuya reminded him those warm days with his partner Verlaine when it was only them against the world.

An interesting note of Asagiri about the fifteen anime,he told the light novel was well received by the animation staff especially the director Igarashi leading for it to be adapted with beautiful animation in 2019,it gives great hope for Storm Bringer to be adapted as well soon!

Asagiri told he has yet so much to say about Dazai and Chuuya he wouldnt even had enough time to write it all in Storm Bringer (he wrote it 3 years later),yet he gave everything he could for Double Black's story to be satisfying,make you wonder for a third light novel about them!

Asagiri's afterwords about the fifteen light novel,i like that he wanted us to imagine what could be the boys' past as partners,one day people told him they had enough daydreamed and needed answers,he understood and he wrote how Dazai and Chuuya met and grew up as adults together

There is something just powerful and emotional in the way Dazai and Chuuya always pose the same since their fifteen,Chuuya standing by Dazai's blind side as a sign of trust,and them upside down as the two sides of a same card showing they are opposites and perfectly complementary
