Trying to improve at character design work.

Definitely haven't forgotten this awesome feline. A young Amelia setting out on her first adventure. Man I wanna do a space adventure comic set in a world like this.

I was a bit lazy on the background. The goal was more to get to see what kind of a finish I could get on the figure with the new setup.

Bit of process action. Slowly sorting out all of the issues that cropped up with using the new PC and Cintiq

Finally figured out what I was doing that was making me dislike everything I was drawing. It always happens when I do to much life drawing. I tend to make the forehead to small and it doesn't match my style any more.

A more finished practice piece. I call this type of work practice because It's more or less just a stylized version of a photo. No real thought into composition or pose, keeps things a little simpler. This is Julisa Kemps.

Spent a day beating my face on the keyboard trying to do something with lineart. Finally got to a point it didn't feel horrible.

Trying out some different effects. I quite like the noise layer. It just adds a little bit of texture without being to distracting... #redsonja
