Not every criticism needs be elevated to universe-shattering proportions. Some details are just annoying and then you move on to the good stuff.
The Colonial Marines Technical Manual is one of the best resources I've ever read and it was great to see it referenced so heavily in the Alien RPG books.
However, the RPG does seem to dumb it down a fair bit and misunderstands a lot of military terminology. Which is a shame.
