I think the main problem that makes this design a pain to look at is that this white part looks slapped on a pre-existing design. Like, he was supposed to be darker with mainly blue, red and green and they just... added that on top
The tail's fine but there are these green weird thingies that make the back of the character very, VERY full.+
I think there's no problem with how the character's dressed : like I said, it gives a nice silhouette, it's fine with its assimetry but it's colored weirdly
Let's start with the things I actually like about it:
His (or her) face, not too complex, nice color balance, not too obstructed or detailed, I like the bits of green hair, the ears and the jewelry
