Also Kirito man. Kirito had me smiling throughout the whole film especially the moment he meets Asuna. Kirito is such a awkward dork in this movie. If you love his dorky moments in the LN moments this movie will make you very happy.
There’s a lot to say about Mito, I love her a lot and I really feel for her and the flaws she has. I would go in-depth but that would require a lot spoilers and I want to keep this spoiler free as much as I can and I want to make another separate post about it.
For all the anime original scenes and especially Mito’s inclusion. It still feels like Progressive. The best part about this movie is that it’s mostly character driven, which I feel the other adaptations lack. I love how they dealt with Asuna and especially Kirito here.
2nd Rewatch Thoughts: NGL, I’m pretty obsessed with this movie. It’s definitely the type of SAO media I see myself watching over and over again compare to the other adaptations. Mainly because how much it respects the source material.
SAOP Spoiler free Review: Yeah this definitely the best SAO anime adaption ever. For all the original content and Mito’s inclusion it’s definitely still feels like Progressive. This is definitely Asuna’s movie and seeing her real life and development is all great!
