Another direct panel reference in episode 4. I loved Quinto's delivery for Robot, and I hope he comes back even though Rudy no longer needs the voice technically.

This is when we really start to see Rex grow, him acknowledging his behavior was a big step, I'm excited to see Mantzoukas turn the audience around on Rex as the show progresses as I feel like he can achieve very grating performances but also can bring a lot of genuine heart.

And my personal favorite of the origin specials, Immortal, which Cory came back to illustrate himself. Another fun detail in the show is that when the Maulers are reviving Immortal we see him flash through some of these past lives.

Also, while we haven't properly met Dupli-Kate's brother Multi-Paul in the comic yet, we actually do see him in Stronghold in episode 3 of the show.

I'll save Rex and Eve's for later as I'll be including their origin mini series in this re-read but one detail I thought was cool was that since Rex's powers work through implants in his wrists, you actually see his bones illuminate when he activates them.

I don't think many fans realize that while he left interiors, Cory would still come back to contribute design work, like he was the one who cracked Angstrom's design when Ottley was struggling to get there.

The prison break in episode 3 definitely made me think of this bit.

So we actually haven't seen Mark face the Maulers in the show, so there's a good chance this may be their first proper on screen confrontation, I like the idea of Mark underestimating just how strong they are. I mean they used to go toe to toe with The Guardians.
