The Reanimarks (as I'm calling them) are a really fun evolution on the Reanimen design/concept.
Honestly same deal as the last issue...its all too good. I don't want to lessen a single panel of this fight.
I will however call out that this cover is a fun callback to issue 11!
Invincible #61
Released: April 2009
Recap: The Invincible War is over, and so is the publics trust in Mark. Eve is still in critical condition. The Sequid invasion wriggles closer. Immortal retires. The long road back is interrupted by the arrival of a new foe. Enter: Conquest.
Mark mulling over the decision before choosing to kill Angstrom, while dark, I feel represents Mark learning to let go of a lot of resentment for those he deemed himself better than.
Ofcourse Angstrom is not done yet...
Angstrom traps the remaining 8 in the dead world that he originally left Mark in their first battle...interesting.
[ CW // Explicit Gore ]
First we get an explanation of how Angstrom survived his last encounter with Mark as well as an introduction to these mysterious cenobite looking future doctors.

While the book is definitely no stranger to graphic violence at this point, this visual is still especially haunting to me.
SPOILER ALERT
This issue sets up my favorite arc in pretty much the whole run. I am so hyped for what's to come from these two pages.
