I decided to reread MHA on a whim this summer and everything clicked for me in a way that MHA never did before. MHA works as manga so much better than as an anime, especially the pacing, artwork, and characters
18. Oshi no Ko
I’ve constantly paraded my love of Kaguya for the past two years (just look earlier in this thread for specifics). Oshi no Ko proves that the mind behind Kaguya, Aka Akasaka, won’t be a one-hit-wonder, and is one of the best, most exciting writers working in manga
Too often, shonen anime take the easy, boring route. The genre is plagued with victory through the power of friendship, main characters that don't undergo any serious growth or character challenges, & villains with pitiful characterization.
HxH takes the hard, interesting route
