Galidor (2002)
Nick Bluetooth and his allies defend the Outer Dimensions against the evil Gorm. While no gold was used in the conclusion of the theme, @Matthew__Ewald has a heart of gold, so I'm choosing to count that.

BIONICLE (2001 - 2010, 2015 - 2016)
Biomechanical beings battle against evil. The original run ended with the involvement of the Golden Armor, and the unprecedented reboot ended with the Golden Masks of Unity.

Slizer/Throwbots (1999 - 2000)
Robots attempt to coexist on a metallic planet, though it doesn't go very well. Despite Millennium being involved in the final battle and wielding a gold disk, it doesn't appear to be a special or specific disk that would decide the outcome.

Adventurers (1998 - 2003)
Essentially LEGO Indiana Jones, but not Indiana Jones. Theme ended in 2003 with the team locating the Golden Dragon Statue, and also using a golden helmet, sword, and shield.

Aquazone (1995 - 1999)
Before the LEGO story theme formula was properly ironed out, Aquazone featured the battles between Aquanaut/Aquaraiders vs. various deep-sea enemies. No gold was involved in the final wave, from what I can tell. Unsure that it properly concluded.

20 Years Ago Today, LEGO BIONICLE officially launched.

After a dream I had last night, I am now officially in the market to purchase a life-sized Lewa Mata axe, so one that looks like this. If anyone is able to/interested in making it, I'm able to pay for it.

10 Years Ago this week, LEGO globally launched the final wave of BIONICLE Generation 1. This wave served to commemorate the line and sent the theme out with iconic characters fans had come to know over the past decade. These were the BIONICLE Stars.
