Throwback Thursday! This is the Three of Swords that I painted in 2016 for my Tarot Card deck Ascension. Have I really been working on this series for that long?!
What is the largest art series/project that you have ever worked on?
Here is the final for the Strength Tarot Card for Ascension! I wanted to keep this mostly monotone in nature, with just the most subtle touch of color.
Do you think a painting needs color to look finished?
This is the initial concept of the next Major Arcana Tarot card for Ascension; Strength! I decided to start this one without an under-drawing and just use loose silhouetted forms to begin building up the image. I definitely plan on experimenting with this approach more!
