Yurei was born in Hingashi to a wealthy merchant family who frequently conducted trade across majority of the star. Her father was very hands on with his business which led to her family travelling.

She’s a xaela aura from the desert dwelling Mierqid tribe! She traveled from her homeland and eventually found her way to Eorzea seeking to learn about magic. She stowed away on a ship (where she met her co-WoL and BFF, Gybal) and made her way to Ul’dah and the thaumaturges.
