In 1983, Richard Avedon released "Fabled Enchantresses", four posters of Marilyn Monroe as Jean Harlow, Clara Bow, Theda Bara and Lillian Russell.

The images are based on photos taken by Avedon for Life magazine in 1958, during which he also captured Monroe as Marlene Dietrich.

The Salvador Dalí-designed dream sequence from Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound (1945). Producer David O. Selznick was unhappy with the sequence, and the scene was cut considerably. According to Ingrid Bergman, it was originally twenty minutes long, though the cut footage is lost.
