It really says something that I saw healthier images of women's bodies depicted in MANGA in the 90s than American comics.
(Yes, I owned both of these comics. 🙈 )
@Panose_wl Thanks for the artshare. I certainly find it tough on this platform.
@Panose_wl Thank you! I'm Red. I like drawing my musicians OCs and women with different facial types while working in both digital amd traditional.
Reposting because I changed the signature...and outside events aren't letting me get to properly post my art summary.
This of course is my Pfp though after a year and steep learning curve for drawing, I think it's time for something new.
@Panose_wl Not the most striking picture of Kat, but I am curious as to the kind of energy that she gives off.
@ArtDominika Ooooo! For this momentous occasion I'll throw in...my favourite trash-baby Kat. A selfish, lazy computer programmer with awful tastes. She's fun to draw for that reason. 🤣
@ArtDominika Thank you for the art share. Here are the pieces that I am most proud for the year 2002. The first one to last in a series and mark the point where I was able to apply when I had learned about design from drawing this series. 1/3
@ArtDominika This is Aideen, my bubbly hippy musician OC who is somehow playing guitar in a punk band.
@lumen___sky For me, it's a tie between these two.
The Neon one is just such an interesting mix of power and vulnerability. Plus I like a well drawn back.
The Akalynn piece just hits that sweet spot of romantic Angst while using some appropriately surreelal imagery.
