Seeing the artwork from Legacies and the evoker talent tree, you can definitely see what they're going for with why dracthyr are designed the way they are. I wonder if they'd been slightly closer to the art's proportions, there wouldn't have been as much outcry at first?
@nillxzero For example, here's a style guide Blizzard created for their artists on how dragons in Hearthstone have to look (and this is very simple and non-detailed one, I've seen style guides for cartoons that go as far as saying how every expression a character makes is allowed to look):
The new dragon models remind me of the style guide Hearthstone made for the Descent of Dragons expansion. It looks like since all these dragons are friendly, they're all following the "good" dragon template. https://t.co/BMQyAu4roa
Something interesting about the HD boat and airship models @SlothyJam found. The airships appear to be how you get to the Dragon Isles, since the starting camp in the Waking Shore is located deep inland with no connection to the sea. So what are the belf and nelf boats for?
Also, it was surprisingly hard to find an image of it, but the alpha model for female worgen weren't bald as the most common images of the model suggest. They had a full set of hairstyles, as did male worgen.
Speaking of prehistoric reptiles and their relation to Dragonflight. We should definitely get a creature based on the dinosaur Yi qi, it's probably the closest thing a real dragon that has ever actually existed:
More on how Darkfallen are possibly being set up as an allied race. We've got Lorash Sunbeam, who died in the War of Thorns questline only to show up as an undead rogue bearing all the qualities the novel says makes you a Darkfallen in 8.1. but did nothing but stand there.
Fuecoco is a crocodile, an apple, and somehow also fire type. I love him.
But I'm going to call him Applegator.
@shamanofthewild @BruelTheVampOrc He's Margrave Krexus. This is him without his helmet (don't look up the WoWpedia article if you don't want spoilers):
Interesting that the new Hearthstone expansion has two different images of worgen with tails. I've never been a fan of the idea, but I'm surprised they didn't get them as new customization options none the less.
