In 1982, he was art director for a H2G2 miniseries. I think it was not the 1981 BBC series, but a canceled US project. My research are in the to-do list ^^

I already showed this artwork a few hours ago, but I wanted to highlight it. I love the idea of "a city on a giant flying alien snail that moves thanks to a ship that gives it food". Brilliant.

Neal Scanlan: "So we actually did build it and we took it to a place called Black Park in the UK, which is close to Pinewood Studios, where we shot it in a lake on location, and that sequence exists. Unfortunately it didn’t make it to the movie story, plot-wise, etc.”
