Gonna try something fairly ambitious... Familiar fella to test the waters.

Some further testing. I'm kind of trying to catch up with stagnation that's piled up over a long period of time. There are severe errors in my work that I', finally figuring out. Introducing some simplifying steps that simultaneously makes drawing easier and has better results.

Trying things

For once had some energy to do a bit of drawing practice after work. Testing some ink related techniques. Always had trouble with lineart and I think the method here may be the thing I've been looking for. Less drawing edges, more painting in shadows and utilizing them as a mask.

Some progress. Hopefully finishing this up during the next painting session.
