Like, he doesn't even seem to enjoy reading manga more than casually, so it kinda makes it hard to root for him when his end goal is ultimately to become popular and marry a girl he hasn't even had a full conversation with.

Mashiro is such a weird protagonist for a series about succeeding in a creative field. Because he never seems particularly interested in the act of actually creating or drawing manga. All of his motivation comes from marrying what's-her-name or just "succeeding."

I don't know WHAT it is about the symmetrical tool that compels me to draw weird extra-terrestrials.
