Nozomi is my favourite member of μ's. I just love every part of her, especially how she’s implemented in the story, being a sort of god mother to the rest of μ's. Also, I’m just a sucker for weird symbolism and shit like that, so her whole tarot deal is right up my alley

BEST GIRL but not best character. God I fucking love Hanayo so much, and every time I hear Nawatobi I just wanna curl into a ball and cry, but not like sad cry or even really happy cry, but like the kinda cry when you see something too cute for words

Umi is another character I didn’t like much before my rewatch, but I see now how wrong I was. Without Umi as the foil to Honoka this show would be leagues worse, and she’s also just a really fun character in her own right. Honoka might own the title, but Umi is the real leader

Before rewatching SIP I didn’t like Rin much at all, but now I reallly like her. She’s so fun all the time and I love when her and Honoka do stuff together, they go together perfectly. Now if only she had a little more to do outside of that one episode with the fashion show...

Honoka is Chika but with less development, I don’t know what else to say really. She fills her role as lead great, and has some of the most inspiring moments in the series, but she’s just not all that interesting to me

Maki is one of the only tsundere characters in anime I can tolerate, and that’s ‘cause she’s actually a character before she’s a tsundere. She’s a great foil for the first years, and it’s nice that she acts as a sort of bridge between the first and third years along with Nico

Eli got a little butchered after joining μ's, but she still does a great job as the more serious, high-strung one of the group, only I think Umi does it better. Also, Eli is definitely best when she’s with Nozomi, and I don’t know whether to rank her higher or lower for that

Kotori is a weird case, ‘cause I like her a lot in the games and such, and I like her basic character type, but in the anime itself she doesn’t do much or have much personality. She’s the basic “best friend to the main character” and not much more

Nico is by far my least favourite, but I don’t dislike her at all, I just don’t like her much. She can be a little annoying, but she’s fun most of the time, and I like how commited she is to being an idol (without her, BiBi would be a lot worse, so I’ll give her credit there)
