@geisha_official @Ssnyder1835 I agree.
Still, this cover from the JL run was pretty rad.
Just the first that came to mind, but god I could do bloody thousands. https://t.co/7IBQE6FRRO
And as the story concludes Luthor appears to discover a cosmic truth, that Earth is predisposed to Entropy and not to Justice.
He takes this as an invalidation of heroism and his philosophy shatters.
J'onn and Lex have one last talk...for now.
Scott Snyder's 'No Justice' sees Lex recruited by Brainiac as part of the villains crew.
He works to save the day with the heroes, but has a genuinely dark interaction with Martian Manhunter.
A relationship begins here that becomes a pivotal foil for Lex from here on.
Lex shows up at the Fortress of Solitude with the rest of the Super Family to defend a blind Clark from the revenge squad.
Despite the difficulties in their meeting, and Lex's notorious ego, he has been loyal to the symbol and Superman himself.
Just as The Oz Effect was starting we got a brief arc called Human Nature, thematically it worked well as a set up to that major story, but it also had some of the best Lex/Supes writing in Rebirth.
I'd include the entire issue here if I could.
He has a chance to perhaps bring back his lost creation.
But this Bizarro is not his Bizarro and he mourns the loss once more, but still resolves to save this one in honour of his friend.
